FAQs - Open Enrollment at Savoy ISD

  • Any student residing in the Fannin/Grayson County area is now eligible to enroll in Savoy ISD.

  • Enrollment is open now! We recommend applying as early as possible to secure your school placement.

  • Enrollment is based on availability at each school. We encourage families to apply early for the best selection.

    Please note that a school transfer could affect UIL eligibility.

  • No, Savoy ISD is a public school district, and enrollment is tuition-free.

  • You can still apply to Savoy ISD! Our team can guide you through the transfer process.

  • No. Enrolling your child in Savoy ISD through Open Enrollment does not affect your property taxes. Property taxes are determined by the state and your local taxing authorities based on where you live - not by the school district your child attends.  

    Savoy ISD is a public school district, and there is no tuition for Open Enrollment students. In Texas, funding follows the student based on daily attendance (not just enrollment), meaning school districts are supported by the students they serve, regardless of where the student lives.
